Tent Distribution

The goal of Tents for Homeless is to give adults and children who are homeless on the streets for extended periods of time tents. Due to the vast number of homeless people in Afghanistan, emergency shelters are overcrowded and have lengthy waitlists; as a result, around 90,000 adults and children are unable to find overnight housing. While they offer some privacy and protection from the heat and bad weather, tents are not a long-term option.

Tents for Homeless, which has locations throughout Afghanistan and Pakistan, was established in response to the fact that homelessness is a severe issue in both nations, with the number of homeless people in the country rising steadily over time.
